Your "Registered Home Inspector" - Randy.
Fast, friendly, personal service. Lakeville
area resident for more than 20 years.
My promise to you:
Choosing the right home inspector can be
difficult. Unlike most professionals, you
probably will not get to meet me until after
you hire me. Furthermore, inspectors have
varying qualifications, equipment,
experience, reporting methods, and different
pricing. One sure thing is that a home
inspection requires work, a lot of work.
Ultimately a thorough inspection depends
heavily on the individual inspector’s own
effort. If you honor me by permitting me to
inspect your new home, I guarantee that I will
give you my very best effort.

About Our Business
How do you decide who will deliver a good quality inspection? When you choose an inspector
be sure to hire someone who is only working for you, someone who will produce a report that
is unbiased and fully reports on every problem noticed with the property. I can do that
because I don't rely on referrals. Also hire an inspector who has a background of home
construction and maintenance experience, not just a book knowledge. A house is a very
complex structure. I truly understand how they are, or should be, put together. I have 25+
years of combined construction and maintenance experience. Most of my knowledge of home
related systems comes from hands-on experience. To learn the inspection process, I attended
inspection courses at Prosource. I have also done extensive research in many areas of home
inspection and construction. I feel that my life-long experience, coupled with formal training
and personal research give me a broad and solid foundation to provide Home Inspections. My
formal employment education is in mechanical design engineering and I have several years of
product design experience in the industrial, electronics and the HVAC industries. I know how
to recognize and clearly communicate technical issues.
My background history
I have been involved with home construction and remodeling since I was very young. My
father was a carpenter for over 40 years and during my teen-age years I learned many things
from him about building and remodeling homes. For about 10 years after high school, I was a
partner in a residential masonry company where I built dozens of basements and poured and
finished hundreds of yards or concrete. During the winter months we would contract
fireplaces and interior brick and rock facades. I was also employed by a small mechanical
company (2 years part-time) installing and replacing furnaces, water heaters, dishwashers,
stoves, water softeners and other appliances. I have been the building maintenance person
(volunteer) for a small church group in Lakeville for 15+ years. Personally, I have owned
three homes, two were fixer-uppers on which I did all the remodeling. After a few experiences
helping friends inspect prospective homes, I saw the need for this service. A few of them did
not have a very deep knowledge of home mechanics and would have bought many existing
and unnoticed problems. I am confident I can provide high quality, unbiased, comprehensive
inspections and reports for other homebuyers.
