| Almost all buyers consider renegotiating the asking price when faced with concerns (even small ones) found during the buyers inspection. Why not remove or repair some of those concerns before the sign goes up? This is especially true during those times of a "buyers market" when price negotiation is common, and buyers may have several properties to choose amongst. Please consider the following points:
Sellers inspections should be scheduled early in the selling process, but it is never too late. An inspection early will allow you to make any repairs or schedule a handyman or contractor if required. Sellers inspections can be done on Saturdays, Sundays or evenings and are usually not under any time constraints, schedule at your convenience. Having an inspection is never a guarantee your home will sell without delays, but waiting until the buyers inspection is almost always a guarantee that concerns will be brought up that may delay the sale. |
